Asharqia Chamber extends its warmest greetings to you and informs you that it has received a letter from the Saudi Chambers Union numbered (45102419) dated (1/6/1445 AH). The letter refers to the Union receiving a communication from the General Authority for Food and Drug number (15012/A) dated (27/5/1445 AH). The communication includes an immediate notification from the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE) dated (17/5/1444 AH), corresponding to (1/12/2023 AD). The notification reports the outbreak of highly pathogenic avian influenza in the province of West-Vlaanderen in Belgium.
In response to this, the Authority issued decision number (14534/A) dated (21/5/1445 AH) imposing a temporary ban on the import of poultry meat, table eggs, and their products and equipment from the province of West-Vlaanderen in Belgium.
