Greetings,
Asharqia Chamber extends its best regards to you, and informs you that it has received the letter of the General Transport Authority No. (1180/46/1) dated (16/3/1446 AH), which refers to what the Authority received from the private sector working in the educational transport activity regarding the challenges they face in correcting their situations, and what was included in the meeting of His Excellency the Chairman of the General Transport Authority with His Excellency the Minister of Education and specialists from the Authority as well as the private sector of private schools that practice the educational transport process to transport their students and employees, in which the establishments reviewed their challenges in correcting their situations, and that the Authority is keen to facilitate the correction procedures for all private educational entities, and raise their rates of compliance with the regulations organizing the educational transport activity in a way that ensures raising the level of quality of the service provided to transport male and female students according to the highest safety standards and requirements.
Accordingly, the Authority informs the private sector for educational transportation of the approval of His Excellency the Minister of Transport and Logistics Services to grant private educational institutions a period of (3) months to correct their legal status to obtain the licenses and operating cards necessary for the process of transporting their students and employees, in order to take into account the challenges faced by private educational institutions in correcting their status, and to avoid disrupting the educational transportation operations of those educational institutions that transport their students and employees. Therefore, the Authority hopes that the concerned establishments licensed in educational transportation activities will correct their legal status to obtain the necessary licenses and operating cards, noting that the period ends on (11/24/2024 AD).
