Greetings,
Asharqia Chamber presents you with its best regards and informs you that it has received the letter of the Council of Saudi Chambers No. (42103940) dated (10/15/1442), concerning the letter of the Public Transport Authority No. (8119/42/1) and the date (9/28/1442), Including what was stipulated in the mechanism for implementing the provisions of the regulations governing the activity of car rental and leasing intermediaries issued by His Excellency the Chairman of the Authority No. (168/41/1) dated (1/7/1441), about the provision of paragraph (1) of Article (12) of the regulation The organization for the activity issued by the decision of His Excellency the Minister of Transport (1/41/120) and the date (2/17/2021), which included the following: (1) The provision of this paragraph shall be applied to all establishments without exception. The date shall be considered (2/7/2021). The application for renewal and the fulfillment of all its conditions shall be submitted during the period preceding the license expiration date by (180) one hundred and eighty days, otherwise, the request will be considered null. (2) The establishments licensed in the activity before the date of entry into force of the regulation and their licenses expiring shall be granted a period ending on (2/17) / 2021 AD) to renew licenses, and with the end of the deadline without renewing them, the licenses are considered null, and we would like to inform the authority to extend the aforementioned deadlines until 12/31/2021 AD instead of (2/17/2021).
Accordingly, the Council hopes that car rental facilities will benefit from the deadline to avoid revoking licenses.
