Asharqia Chamber presents you with its best regards, and informs you that it has received the letter of the Union of Saudi Chambers No. (45504645) dated (10/20/1445 AH), which refers to the letter of the Ministry of Transport and Logistics Services No. (16938) dated 16 Ramadan 1445 AH, which includes the existing cooperation between the Ministry and the private sector regarding... The importance of educating transporters about the impact of the increase in loads on trucks over the regular weights on the infrastructure and the danger this poses on the roads, as it was observed during the last period that excess weights for trucks exceeded the legally prescribed weights, and in view of the large number of complaints from transporters about the violations that are monitored on trucks at weighing stations.
Accordingly, the Union hopes that the concerned committee, the participants, and the investors with specializations will adhere to the weights and dimensions stipulated by law. You will find the dimensions and weights of the trucks according to Saudi Standard Specification No. (MSS 469/2008) and Article 23 of the executive regulations of the traffic system. The Ministry confirms that it is fully prepared to work Awareness workshops for entities and transporters to raise awareness and contribute to the safety of infrastructure and its users in the Kingdom.
