Asharqia Chamber presents you with its best regards, and inform you that we have received a letter from the General Authority for Ports - King Abdulaziz Port, numbered (16/33/38/1735) and dated (20/1/1445 AH), in which the Authority emphasizes its commitment to creating a unified regulatory environment in all ports to ensure operational and administrative efficiency Within the designated regions, ensuring the highest standards of safety and environmental health are achieved, in accordance with the best practices in place. The Authority has prepared the initial version of the Permit Issuance Document for exceptional cargo within the ports, as outlined below:
Mechanism for issuing permits for exceptional cargoes within the ports.
Model application for exceptional cargo permit.
Model exceptional cargo permit.
Therefore, the Authority hopes that all carriers operating at King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam and stakeholders from the relevant committees at the Eastern Chamber will adhere to it, and consult the port's security management to request the permit. The Authority also welcomes opinions and observations that may arise during the implementation of the mechanism throughout the research phase.
