Greetings,
Asharqia Chamber presents you with its best regards, and informs you that it has received the letter of the Federation of Saudi Chambers No. (43102739) dated (23/6/1443 AH), regarding the Union receiving the letter of the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing No. (4300468266) and dated (16/6/1443 AH), included in it to Article (Fifth) of the Contractors' Law issued by Royal Decree No. (M/9) dated 18/1/1443 AH, which states "The financial limits for each grade are determined and modified by a decision of the Minister after agreement with the Minister of Finance and the Minister of Economy and Planning." Whereas, a meeting was held with representatives of the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Economy and Planning to discuss and determine the methodology for determining the upper limit for each degree of classification and to agree on a unified methodology to be adopted and work accordingly after the presentation to the Ministers and the approval, by studying the criteria for statistical analysis of government spending expected in the three years the upcoming projects of Chapter Four and Chapter Three of the state's approved budget to match the economic situation of the contracting market and contribute to enhancing competitiveness among contractors.
Because of the importance of the private sector's participation in expressing an opinion on the methodology of the financial limits for classification degrees, based on the principle of transparency and participation, the Federation hopes that the relevant sectoral committees will review and express an opinion on them, provided that it is sent to the e-mail (aalmandah@fsc.org.sa).
