Asharqia Chamber presents its best greetings to you, and would like to inform you of receiving the letter of the Council of Saudi Chambers No. (7/7) dated 1/1 / 1440H that is referring to the letter of the Ministry of Commerce and Investment No. (61747) dated (30/12/1439), which enclosed by the cable of His Excellency the Minister of Foreign Affairs on receiving the Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the State of Kuwait included that an informed source told the Kuwaiti Newspaper, Alray Alaam, that Kuwait has banned the importation of foods of all kinds from the Republic of Iraq.
The ban came in coordination between the Ministries of Health and Commerce, the General Administration of Customs and the Public Authority for Food and Nutrition and urgently as a precautionary measure because of the spread of cholera in Iraq.
