Respected/ importers of Fish
Asharqia Chamber presents you with its best greetings, and is pleased to inform you about receiving a letter of the Council of Saudi Chambers No. 1738 dated 19/6/1439. It referred to the letter of the Ministry of Commerce and Investment No. 33129, dated 17/6/1439 on the temporary ban on the importation of live fish (including African catfish) and ornamental fish (including carp) from South Africa. It is based on the information contained in the Warning Bulletin issued by the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE) on 2/2/2018, including the occurrence of Epizootic Ulcerative Syndrome and Koi Herpesvirus Disease. In addition, the Ministry of Agriculture released a Decree No. (244/1291/1439) dated 11/6/1439 that issued a temporary ban on the importation of live fish (including African catfish) and ornamental fish (including carp) from South Africa due to illness (Epizootic Ulcerative Syndrome and Koi Herpesvirus Disease).
