Respected/ Importers of live birds, hatching eggs, and chicks
Asharqia Chamber presents you with its best greetings, and would like to inform you about receiving a letter from the Council of Saudi Chambers No. 2088 dated 23/7/1439, indicating that the Council received a letter from the Ministry of Commerce and Investment No. 40134 dated 22/7/1439, on imposing a temporary ban on the importation of live birds, hatching eggs, and chicks from the state of Mexico. It is based on the information contained in Warning Bulletin of the World Health Organization (OIE) dated 10 March 2018 that contained the appearance of highly pathogenic avian influenza cases in the State of Mexico. In addition, the Ministry of Agriculture issued a decree No. (293/1291/1439) dated 5/7/1439 on a temporary ban on the importation of live birds, hatching eggs, and chicks from Mexico.
