Chamber presents greetings and informs you of receiving
the letter of the General Authority for Food and Drugs No. (6062)
date 6/2/1439, referring to the decision of the General Authority
for Food and Drugs No. 145/33 date 30/11/1433. The
lifting of the ban of the import of food products from some areas of
Japan, and based on the report of the visit by a technical team from the
Food and Drug Authority to the State of Japan and the actions taken by
developed countries towards Japanese food products, the Commission's
decision No. (4474) and the date (28/1 / 1439H) to suspend the work of paragraph (1) of item I of the Committee decree (145/33) date 30/11/1433, which provides for "attaching a
certificate of radiation free with every consignment of foodstuffs
issued by the concerned governmental control authorities in the State of
Japan, indicating the area of production of the imported foodstuff
and that it is permitted to be traded In
the State of Japan and free from radiation contamination or within the
limits permitted in SASO 1542 "Permissible Radiation Levels in
Foodstuffs - Part 1").
