Gentlemen/ Members of the Chamber
Greetings,
Asharqia Chamber presents you with its best regards, and informs you that it has received the letter of the Union of Saudi Chambers No. (45104246) dated (9/16/1445 AH), in which it is indicated that the Union received the letter of the General Authority for Transport No. (5325/45/1) and the date (9/14/1445 AH). It includes pointing out the importance of raising the level of compliance with rules and regulations in the transportation sector, which is reflected in the quality of services provided and to facilitate the private sector, and given the inability of some companies to correct their situation and raise the compliance rate due to the presence of many violations in them, and linking the correction of their situations to paying those violations.
His Excellency the Minister of Transport and Logistics Services issued Decision No. (417) dated (9/4/1445 AH), regarding granting a grace period to provide some services without committing to pay transportation violations to raise the compliance rate, which includes not linking the payment of transportation violations to obtaining the following services:
- Issuing vehicle operating cards
- Issuing and renewing drivers’ cards
- Issuing traffic letters
This is for a period of four months from the date (9/15/1445 AH), corresponding to (3/25/2024 AD).
Sincerely
