Young businesswomen of Asharqia Chamber reviewed the results of their visit to Spain on Sunday,
May 7, 2017, in the presence of the members of the Board of Directors Samira Al
Swaigh, Manhel Al Hamdan and the Secretary General, Abdulrahman bin Abdullah Al
Wabel, who praised the visit as the first of a delegation of Saudi
businesswomen outside the Kingdom.
Al
Wabel stressed the importance of the efforts of Asharqia Chamber to empower
Saudi women to be an active component of development plans and that these efforts
are accordance to economic progress in the country and to achieve the goals of
the Kingdom Vision 2030 by enhancing women participation in the development of
the local economy. Economic
programs, especially that there are serious plans towards diversifying the
economic base, which leads to the need to provide knowledge in various economic
fields.
On
the other hand, the Head of the Executive Council of Businesswomen in Asharqia Chamber,
Manahel Al Hamdan, stressed that the Young Businessmen Council since its existence
in 2008 has achieved great success in its service in the service of business
pioneers, stressing the keenness of young women to explore opportunities and
identify the mechanisms of success from their sources. That
the current stage gave Saudi women bigger chance of work, urging business owners
for more knowledge that the economic fields are endless and there are
innovative ideas have become leading brands.
For
her part, Head of the Council of Young Businessmen Anoud Al Ramah said in her
presentation that the visit was of more than one plan. The first was to review
the government efforts in Spain, especially Catalonia Province and its programs
aiming to supporting women in the business sector and their mechanisms in motivating
the growth of promising sectors especially small and medium, The
second is to meet with business owners and discussing the exchange of
investment opportunities.
Al
Ramah said that the delegation met with members and members of the Catalan
Chamber of Commerce and held several meetings with a number of Spanish
officials and lawyers to familiarize themselves with the tax systems and legal
system in the Kingdom of Spain. The delegation also visited the Association of
Women Business Pioneers in the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce, Tartousa and
meeting with the deputy and the head of the Chamber there.
Meanwhile,
Hind Al Zahid, Director of the Businesswomen Center, spoke about the meetings
and social meetings that the delegation held with the Spanish side, especially
with representatives of the Spanish companies, pointing that the delegation met
more than representatives of 78 Spanish companies in various fields.
A
delegation from the Chamber of Young Women Chamber of Commerce, consisting of
(14) business pioneers, visited the Kingdom of Spain last month for a week, to
learn about investment laws, support mechanisms for small and medium institutions
and the most important Spanish establishments interested in business pioneers and
meeting Spanish businesswomen.
