Women's Economic Forum discusses women's progress in the energy, industry, and technical sectors
The seventh edition of the Women's Economic Forum 2022, organized by the Asharqia Chamber under the auspices of His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, Prince of the Eastern Region, is discussed under the theme "Making Change". One of the most important pillars of the Kingdom's Vision 2030 is the empowerment of women in family enterprises and the strengthening of their role in decision-making.
The forum, "Via Visual Communication", will also be held on Wednesday, November 16 via the zoom platform, and will review the march of women in the energy, industry, and technology sectors, as well as environmental and social practices and corporate governance.
The Chairman of the Board of Directors of Asharqia Chamber, Badr Ben Suleiman Al-Rizizeh, said that the most distinctive feature of the seventh edition of the Forum is the diversity of the topics to be addressed and the collective dialogue he embraces on the various roles that women can play in realizing Vision 2030, which emphasized that women are one of the most important elements of the Kingdom's future.
Al-Razizi explained that the Forum represents an extension of previous versions organized by the Chamber over the past years and has witnessed considerable interaction and concluded several recommendations in support of the march of women in the economic sector. It comes from the Chamber's keenness to keep abreast of the economic developments and transformations in the country and their implications for Saudi women as active and influential partners in the process of growth and development.
He noted that the Chamber always provides support and advice through its various channels to improve the level of Saudi women, especially in the economic fields, by urging them to develop and modernize mechanisms in the areas of production and business administration, stressing the importance of the Forum as it reviews the empowerment achieved by women in various fields and highlights their active participation in the Kingdom's development renaissance.
In its previous versions, the Forum discussed the support and financing of SMEs. Women's Partnership in Development as a national and social imperative and their economic empowerment both in corporations and through business women's organizations and associations, as well as the discussion and empowerment of the most important legislative and social constraints in economic decision-making, The main regional initiatives aimed at increasing women's social and economic opportunities and the impact of women's participation on economic growth and efforts to empower them at all levels were also highlighted.
