The President of the Chamber ,Mr. Abdulrahman Bin Rashid Al-Rashid explained that organizing this event this year, under the sponsorship of the Minister of Culture and Information, is giving it a distinguish part among the media festivities, and placing it in the "The important local events Agenda, and gives it a exceptionality as the most appropriate media in the region, hosting Turki AlSudairy,The Saudi Journalists Chairman and editor of "Al-Riyadh "newspaper and a number of members of the Board of Directors in the "an open dialogue" with the media.
AlRashid draw the chamber interest to the strategic directions and national media, emphasizing the Chamber awareness of the media nature, and the important role played by broadcasters in maintaining the "constants" of home, and to promote development and economic reforms led by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, and from the results that have led to consolidate the position of the Kingdom of excellence in the international economy. He expected the media in its third day to witness a huge demand for attendance and participation of media professionals, academics, intellectuals, writers and artists. On the other hand, the General -Secretary of the Chamber, Mr. Adnan bin Abdullah Al Nuaim, said that the event is "open" to all media, and all intellectuals, writers and artists in the Eastern Province.
AlNuaim also mentioned that the chamber dedicated the "invitation" to all the official seniors in the Ministry of Culture and Information to the event, as well as it would invite officials of the regional offices of local newspapers, and centers and branches of journalistic institutions in the Eastern Region
He pointed out that the chamber allocated "Sheikh Saad AlMojil Hall", to the audience of media men, and "Aljazeera Hall" to the women, the ceremony will be live transferred by the closed circuit TV system.
