During his visit to the East Chamber
US ambassador confirms the depth of economic and trade relations with the Kingdom
Member of the Board of Directors of the East Chamber Faisal bin Saleh Al-Quraishi about Saudi-US relations, adding to the value and mutual respect and commitment to cooperation in the development of new value-added elements of the relationship. Al Quraishi told the new US Ambassador in Saudi Arabia, Joseph Westphal, recently at the headquarters of the main Chamber in Dammam to major American companies to invest in various sectors in the market, most notably petroleum pipelines and chemical industries, adding that the Kingdom had become important economic destination for investors and the most attractive for investment. During the meeting, Al-qureishi called on businessmen of the two countries to develop a proposal for a concrete plan for economic and trade exchange and cultural exchange with the focus on education and training to cope with the economic development in the Kingdom. Al-Quraishi said that the United States is the favorite place when Saudi students, pointing to the recent increase in the number of students who go to study there and stressed the need to expand bilateral relations to reflect new priorities and a focus on building intellectual capital and knowledge sharing.
The Ambassador told Westphal that Saudi Arabia is considered the most important economic partner of the United States stressed the strength of the economic relationship and historic relations and trade between the two countries. Westphal said that the United States is a leader in innovation and information and are willing to invest it with our partner countries, we also welcome investment in the education and training sector between the two countries, pointing out that this investment will be fruitful in the future, he said: we need to promote common policies in the field of trade and economic exchanges. At the end of the meeting, the East Chamber Board Member Faisal bin Saleh Al-Quraishi honored the Ambassador Joseph Westphal with Memorial shield.
