Training and private education investors in the Kingdom are presenting an "option" to merge
Investors in the training and private education sector stressed the need for a serious approach to achieving mergers between establishments operating in the sector, to face the upcoming challenges, which - based on the data of last year - appear to be unfavorable to the institutions, due to the decline in revenues and the maintenance of expenses.
This came during the expanded meeting for workers in the sector, organized by the Asharqia Chamber last Wednesday 03 / February / 2021, and it was transferred remotely with the participation of the Vice President of the National Committee for Private Training and Education, Dr. Abdulaziz bin Muhammad Al-Awwad, and the presence of the Chairman of the Committee Abdulaziz bin Fawzan Al-Fahd. The challenges facing the sector such as resettlement and investment in light of the Corona pandemic constituted the biggest challenges facing the sector for more than twenty years.
For his part, Abdulaziz bin Fawzan Al-Fahad, Chairman of the National Committee for Training and Private Education at the Council of Saudi Chambers, said that private schools during the pandemic period presented many initiatives, but the operating expenses did not change, as the buildings exist and have consumer expenses, transport buses and their staff are present, and the loans owed to schools do not It still exists, and a lot of revenues are declining. Schools have taken the initiative to reduce fees, and he stressed that if distance education continues, it will be painful for schools next year.
The attendees concluded that there is a need for cooperation between the National Committee for Training and Private Education and other committees in the chambers and to assume the responsibility of raising the concerns of the sector to the concerned authorities, and to come up with specific formulas to avoid the sector from an upcoming disaster.
It is noteworthy that the meeting witnessed a review of the efforts of the National Committee for Education in the Council of Saudi Chambers, and its dialogues were moderated by Khaled Al-Juaira, Chairman of the Training and Education Committee in the Asharqia Chamber.
