Tourism Committee discussed a report on Housing Units
Tourism Committee discussed the reports submitted by the working group concerned about the problems and constraints faced by investors in the accommodation sector of furnished apartments, including the lack of activities and festivals and being restricted only to the period of annual vacations during its meeting held on Sunday, January 16 at the Chamber Headquarter in Dammam.
During the meeting; Chairman of the Committee Abdullah Al-Qahtani reviewed the damage that occurred as a result of the closure of the main and minor streets by the responsible company of bridges construction.
Al-Qahtani said that all members have discussed the sharp increase in operational costs and increase consumer prices (such as water - electricity - Hygiene and maintenance prices) and the increase in the number of housing units and the lack of balance between supply and demand and the delay of time suffered by the investor to extract the necessary permits from the concerned authorities and lack of commitment residential units prices set by the relevant authorities.
The committee member Abdulaziz Zain Al Den presented a report on the obstacles and problems facing the sector, recreational and projects where the report highlighted the difficulty of procedures for dealing with licenses, and the lack of entertainment for young people.
Members of committee have elected Abdullah Al-Qahtani to continue as chairman of the Committee and Ahmad Al Sayed as Vice-Chairman of the Committee and Badi Al Badi and Abdullah Bukhamseen for membership for the National Tourism Committee.
