Today, the Prince of Eastern sponsors the launch of the "Small and Medium Enterprises Forum 2022"
Today, Sunday 27/November/2022, His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Eastern Region, sponsors the activities of the “Small and Medium Enterprises Forum” organized by the Asharqia Chamber, in partnership with the General Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises (Monshaat), and discusses several issues that support the trend. The General Authority of the Kingdom cares for small and medium enterprises and affirms the centrality of its role in comprehensive development plans and support for localization options in goods, services, and human resources.
The Chairman of the Board of Directors of Asharqia Chamber, Badr bin Suleiman Al-Ruzaiza, said that the forum, which will be held at the chamber's headquarters in Dammam, seeks to have investment and financing channels in financial technology have a major role in the development and expansion channels of small and medium enterprises.
Al-Ruzaiza praised the generous sponsorship of the forum from His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Eastern Region, considering that this sponsorship is in addition to the forum and one of the most prominent titles of the desired success of the activities involved in this forum, which witnesses the prominent participation of many experts, specialists and representatives. Al-Ruzaiza adds that the forum - through this version - seeks to identify and support the best economic sectors that can be invested in by small and medium enterprises, by presenting the concept of partnerships and alliances for small and medium enterprises as a strategic option, and developing the administrative and technical skills of owners of small and medium enterprises.. stressing That keenness on developing small and medium enterprises is a strategic choice for Asharqia Chamber, under which several programs and events are held throughout the year, such as seminars, lectures, consulting sessions and training courses, as well as the forum that is held periodically.
During three sessions, the forum will discuss several axes. In the first session titled (Small and Medium Enterprises in light of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030), speakers will discuss several axes and topics: (The role of government agencies in supporting the legislative environment for entrepreneurs, integration between government agencies in facilitating Business of small and medium enterprises, the role of universities and educational institutions for entrepreneurs, integration between business incubators and accelerators and government agencies in light of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030).
Speaking during this session are: (Director General of Entrepreneurship Culture at the General Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises “Monshaat”/ Muhammad Al-Amro, The Dean of the Entrepreneurship Institute at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals/ Dr. Wael Musa, and Head of the Entrepreneurship Unit at Imam Abdul Rahman Al-Faisal University/ Dr. Muhammad Al-Sheikh, and the General Manager of the Saudi Fintech Initiative / Nizar Al-Haidar, and this session is chaired by the investor and academic specializing in entrepreneurship / Ali bin Saleh Al-Humaidan).
The second session, discusses (the diversity of financing and investment sources for small and medium enterprises), where the speakers address the role of “empowering the agencies supporting the small and medium enterprises sector in the Kingdom, developing the small and medium enterprises sector, challenges and solutions for financing and supporting small and medium enterprises, and the role of financial technology in the rapid growth of enterprises "small and medium.”
Participating in this session are: (Advisor to the CEO of the Social Development Bank / Eng. Abdulaziz Al-Shuaibi, General Manager of the Kafalah Program / Hammam Hash, Administrative Director of the Saudi Aramco Center for Entrepreneurship, Eng. Fahd Al-Eidi, Acting Regional Director of Small and Medium Enterprises Banking at Riyad Bank / Muhammad Al Salem), and the dialogues of this session are moderated by the Marketing Director of Al-Falak Technical Equipment Company / Ayla Al-Shidwi.
In the third session, the forum will discuss (the future of the financial technology sector in supporting small and medium enterprises), and it will address several topics included under this axis, including: “The strategy for providing financial products and services to small and medium enterprises, areas and enablers of financial support for small and medium enterprises, and the role of financial technology in accelerating growth of small and medium enterprises. Participating in this session are: (Chief Executive Officer of Aseel Financial Company/ Majed Aba Al-Khail, and the Director of Business Development of Lean Technology Company/ Saleh Al-Ghamdi), and the dialogues of the session are managed by the Managing Partner of Concentration Company / Nayef Al-Mulhim.
For his part, the head of the Business Youth Council in the Asharqia Chamber, Saad bin Khaled Al-Moajel, described the establishment of the "Small and Medium Enterprises Forum" as another step within several steps supporting small and medium enterprises, and young businessmen in particular, and emphasizing their role in the comprehensive development that the Kingdom is witnessing in the era of Vision 2030.
Al-Mojil added that the option of supporting small and medium enterprises, and providing more opportunities and fields for young entrepreneurs is a "development necessity" adopted by the wise leadership from the development plans up to the Kingdom's Vision 2030, so that this important forum comes within this direction, and moves within this framework, especially since all Data, as well as global and regional experiences, support such an approach.
Al-Mojil pointed out that young businessmen in the Kingdom (and in the eastern region in particular) continue the path of those who preceded them, who gave and achieved the outstanding achievements referred to as Lebanon, including the presence of the Saudi product in various countries of the world, and the presence of the national human element in various work facilities, as well as About the remarkable increase in the contribution of the private sector to develop.
