On Tuesday, December 11, 2018, the Executive Council of Businesswomen held its meeting in order to discuss the map of its programs for the first quarter of 2019, and achievements achieved during 2018 and its commitment to the strategic plan. The meeting was attended by Board Member Nouf Bint Abdulaziz Al Turki.
During the meeting, Maram al-Jishi, president of the Executive Council Businesswomen, said that the Council has achieved during the current year a package of events that are in the interest of businesswomen in the Eastern Region and are in line with the objectives of the vision of the Kingdom of 2030 to make Saudi women an active player in the national economy.
She noted that the Council will continue to provide its annual activities and is in the process of implementing a program plan that enhances the partnership of women in the process of economic growth and development.
Al-Jishi explained that the program plan, especially those which will be in the first quarter of 2019, will focus on empowering women in leadership positions and boards of directors with an initiative adopted by the Council within its objectives that called (Annan).
She pointed out that the Council discussed its plan for the training camp (Women in Technology) as part of its initiative to promote the presence of businesswomen in the information technology sector during the month of January 2019 in cooperation with the Badir Technology Incubator Program, as well as a map of its upcoming meetings with industry support bodies and discuss ways of cooperation in order to support the participation of women in industry and work to empower them in this growing sector.
