On Sunday 9 December 2018, the Chairman of Asharqia Chamber of Commerce, Abdul Hakim bin Hamad Al-Ammar Al-Khalidi, hosted the Argentine Ambassador to the Kingdom "Marcelo Gilardoni" at the headquarter of the Chamber in Dammam.
The meeting was attended by the Secretary General of the Chamber Abdulrahman bin Abdullah Al Wabil.
During the meeting, the two parties exchanged the views on several common economic issues, first and foremost the relations between the Kingdom and Argentina, which is witnessing a state of growth and development, especially in the economic side, which was confirmed during a meeting between His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, and the Argentine President Mauricio Macquarie on the sidelines of the summit of the G20s, which was held recently in the Argentine capital (Buenos Aires).
Gilardoni confirmed the willingness of businessmen in Argentina to establish joint ventures with Saudi investors in various fields, which is serving the two countries.
He welcomes any ideas or proposals that serve this trend, which reflects the will of political leadership in both countries.
Al-Khalidi said that the Saudi market is promising and will receive more new and distinctive propositions, especially in view of the vision of 2030, which stressed the issues of diversity and value added of any project and opened the door to foreign expertise and investment.
These options were supported by a number of legislation and procedures that motivate the foreign investor.
Al-Khalidi expressed the readiness of the Chamber to receive business delegations from Argentina, establish an exhibition of Argentinean catalogs and to open the areas of dialogue towards greater cooperation in various fields of trade, industry and services, especially as the two countries are among the top 20 developed countries in the world.
