The 5th Prince Mohammed Bin Fahad Athletic Tournament for corporations is supporting several charity institutions in the eastern province by giving part of the budget delivered from his royal highness Prince Mohammed Bin Fahad to the institutions’ managers. The upcoming tournament, which will start on the third of the holy month of Ramadan in the Green Hall in Dammam, is supported and sponsored by his royal highness Prince Mohammed Bin Fahad of the eastern province and organized by “Asharqiah Chamber”.
“ The Chamber is used to give funds to charity institutions in the eastern province each year, and this year it will give part of its budget to Sehat Social Services, Al-Ber Charity institution in Al-Khafji, The National Committee of Prisoners’ and the their families, and Al-Ber Charity institution in Al-Olayah village” said Abudlrahman Bin Abdullah AlWabel, the General Secretary of Asharqiah Chamber.
AlWabel also insured that the tournament has always been a tourism activity for youth, where they meet in one place, in an energetic atmosphere with exciting matches, other than that, there are many activities which occur in the margin program of the tournament, which has proved in the last five years its big success, plus to a variety of prizes. AlWabel noted that the contest is an athletic program in the first place but with social goals that accompanies perfectly with all the guidelines of the government which fulfill the social solidarity.
AlWabel noted also that supporting charity projects is one of Asharqiah chamber responsibilities towards the community in the province, which meet with many government and non-governmental institutions plans, the Chamber has been always a start-point for many committees with social responsibilities such as “Patients’ Friends Committee” and “Friends of Red Crescent” and “ The Retired Employees Committee” .
“ The contest hosted many famous figures of community and Television such as the stars of Bab Al-Haraa show and the Kuwaiti star Abdulaziz Al-Musalam and the Bahraini Comedian Ali Al-Ghurair and a number of leading press figures and officials in the region who believe in the message of Asharqia Chamber and supported the vision and service of society.
