In a course organized by Asharqia Chamber titled "How to price the
products of your project"
Experts
stressed the importance of pricing the product according to stages and
practical steps that reflect the amount of
effort in the stages of production, but realistically.
"The
price of products and services is one of the most difficult and decisions taken
by the company," said Dr. Abdel Nasser Al Sayah in a course organized by Asharqia Chamber, represented
by the Small and Medium institutions Development Center in its main headquarters on Wednesday March
29, 2017, of the difficulty and complexity of the price situation
varies according to the nature of the establishment and the number of its
products and the quality of the target groups.
The
price is one of the elements of the marketing mix known as product, price,
place or distribution, promotion, price is the only element among the elements
of the marketing mix, which represents the revenues of the establishment and
make profits unlike the rest Other
items that represent costs or expenses on the establishment.
For
his part, Dr. Murad Mansour talked in the course attended by 32 trainees about
some common mistakes made by business owners in pricing such as: low prices
without realizing the indirect costs, for example providing consulting service
to a specific party without specifying the actual cost of the hour and the
service may be recognized by the provider as well as some people who offer high
or low shares of the participants without realizing the fair proportions of
participation.
Some
common mistakes of young businessmen are imitating competitors in pricing. The
cost of costs may differ from the costs by their facilities. The strategy may
be different, as the pricing policy of the competitor. The
competitor may have additional advantages when pricing. The type of technology
or employment nationality may be different, or other elements that have been
ignored, in addition to getting into a price war with competitors in order to
remove them from the market.
The
session also discussed the importance of pricing by distinguishing products,
creating competition among producers, identifying purchasing and investment
opportunities, balancing supply and demand, contributing to the preservation of
the environment, the economic growth and preventing monopoly on goods and
services.
