• Specialist: Urgent need to create a unified Gulf regulation of governance

    Asharqia Chamber issues the 23rd issue of «Family».

     

    Asharqia Chamber, represented by the Media Department, recently launched the 23rd issue of the Family Book, in order to highlight the family business sector locally, regionally, and globally.

    The new issue addressed a range of topics such as economic improvements and their role in maintaining the growth and sustainability of family business. During the exclusive interview with the CEO of the Saudi Governance Center, Louai Mousa, he spoke about the changes in the structure of the Saudi economy and its impact on the growth of family business. He emphasized that there is a direct correlation between economic improvements and the growth of family businesses. Governance with its complex applications is the right track for the sustainability of family businesses across generations. He described the governance as (the sustainability icon).

    The bulletin highlighted the innovation of family businesses through presenting the published study by the family business professor and director of the Family Business Institute at the Otto Beisheim Management University in Germany, Nadine Kammerlander. She concluded that family businesses invest less in innovation than other companies, but they are more efficient in terms of innovation processes. She highlighted the results of a survey conducted by KPMG (specailzed in auditing, taxation and consulting) on the income and investment of family businesses in the GCC.

    The bulletin concluded with a presentation of the impact of governance in the management of endowments and its role in achieving the growth and sustainability of the endowment, as well as providing coverage for forums, conferences and seminars that took care of family businesses internally and externally.​
