Provided more than 1000 jobs and 43 job interviews in 2010
Al Wabel: Centre works as a link between business sector and young people
Varied services provided for 197 facilities in 2010
Job opportunities conducted by Employment Center of Asharqia Chamber during the current year have exceeded more than 1000 jobs compared to 714 jobs provided by the Centre in the previous year and 174 jobs provided in 2008, while the total number of job seekers through the Centre was 1766 from young people of the region. While the job interviews for the current year was 43, an increase of 19 interviews from those were held in 2009 amounting 24 interview, compared with 2008 interviews which amounted 11 job interviews .
The figures contained in the report recently issued by the center shows the significant progress in the functioning of the Centre, where it plays center an important role since its start in 15 Rajab 1427 AH (corresponding to August 9, 2006).
Centre was established under the strategic direction of the chamber, in which intended to contribute to the national efforts by providing job opportunities for young Saudis, especially graduates of institutes, colleges, and universities.
Acting Secretary General of Asharqia Chamber Abdulrahman bin Abdullah Al Wabel explained that the Centre seeks to achieve a number of objectives, Most prominent: to meet business needs of qualified national cadres in the various disciplines of both genders, establishing a strong relations based on cooperation and integration with all parties concerned with employment, raising the contribution of the national workforce in the labor market, and support the efforts of saudization and provide job opportunities for the citizens.
The services provided by the Centre includes: E-recruitment, holding job interviews, counseling and career education, along with consulting.
The center also organizes job interviews for the sake of private sector as a kind of (personal contact or direct one), as the center provides employment services through its website www.acec.com.sa where enjoys a large number of special services.
The services provided by the Centre also includes lectures for students of colleges and institutes and job applicants for self-marketing skills, and job skills along with work ethics.
With regard to consulting services, the Centre provides advices to the officials of human resources and employment officials on best practices in the field of employment in which attract good cadres.
Meanwhile, statistics issued by the Center reflects clear progress in its services, as in 2008 total number of establishments served by the center reached 14 facilities, increased in 2009 up to 36, and 197 in 2010.
While the total number of job seekers participating in the job interviews reached1238 in 2008, in 2009 dropped to 1029, and then increased clearly to 1766 in 2010.
Moreover the Centre contributed toprovide 174 jobs in 2008, increased to 714 in 2009, and up to 902 in 2010.
In the field of exhibitions and forums in which the Centre has participated in 8 exhibitions and forums in 2010, compared with 6 in 2009, and 2 in 2008.
The number of marketing visits which amounted 58 visits in 2010, compared to 14 visits in 2009, and 12 in 2008.
While center did not hold an indicative lectures in 2008, yet organized one lecture in 2009 and 4 in 2010.
