SME Forum 2011" calls for establishing an Independent SME Authority and spread of self-employment approach
Concluded with 7 recommendations, 6 workshops on Wednesday
Throughout the SME Forum 2011 held at the Chamber last Tuesday and Wednesday in which calling for SME Authority ; an independent authority which can provide valuableopportunities to a growing young population, improve productivity and help diversify the economy and spread the culture of self-employment and support of young businessmen projects".. The reality is that the only effective way to expand the true economic potential of SMEs in Saudi Arabia is to launch an SME Authority.
This came within the seven recommendations made by the Forum held over Tuesday and Wednesday at the chamber ..announced by the Board Member and Chief of the Scientific Committee Khalid Amaar Al-Dosari ..
Khalid stressed on the "necessity of activating the role of Saudi Credit & Saving Bank to embrace SME's projects.
The closing statement called to "facilitate the procedures on providing loans to projects by the concerned authorities, and facilitate bank procedures as well in order to take advantage of the risk guarantee's program adopted by the Kingdom," stressing at the same time on "the importance of establishing business incubators in various regions of the Kingdom due for their positive impact on economic ,social and scientific conditions " to accelerate the successful development of entrepreneurial companies through an array of business support resources and services.
The final day saw launching of two panel discussions and six workshops offered through experiences of a number of large corporations such as Saudi Aramco, Mobily, to support small and medium enterprises
