Call for promptly establishment of a supreme authority to take sponsor SME's
Chairman of Asharqia Chamber Abdulrahman bin Rashed Al-Rashed called to create a supreme authority to sponsor SME's as it exists in many developed countries as China and the United States ..
That was during the press conference held yesterday 19 March,2011 to announce details of the (Economic Forum of Small and Medium Enterprises – A key of Economic Diversification) which will be held Under the patronage of His Highness Prince Mohammad Bin Fahad Prince of the Eastern Region, Asharqia Chamber in cooperation with Naseba Group during the period 29-30 March 2011 corresponding with 24-25 Rabi Al-Thani showing the main constraints faced by the SME's sector to come up with recommendations to highlight more on youth creativity and taking it to the next implementing phase.
Conference where attended by each of the Board Member and Chairman of the Scientific Committee Khalid Amaar Al-Dosari, Secretary General of the Chamber Abdulrahman Al-Wabel, Assistant Secretary General for Economic Affairs Adel Al-Serami, Assistant Secretary-General of Public Relations and Media Abdulrahman Al-Humain.
The forum goals which is being held for the fourth time is to goe over linking the small and medium enterprises with the research and development centers, universities and various educational institutions .. As Chamber is keen through this forum to resolve the obstacles of funding, which is one of the most difficult obstacles faced by the young man to start or expand his small project.
Al-Rashed added that this forum since its inception 8 years ago and till this time remaines under the highly patronage of HisRoyal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Fahad bin Abdulaziz, Prince of the Eastern Region..
He also said that the forum this year will evaluative a process to the reality of small and medium enterprises, where it will tackle the topic (Sponsoring SME's.. Reality and Hope), and will review main ideas within this axes.
Al-Rahed also referred to the study conducted by one of the advisory groups of more than 6.300 facilities in 21 major markets in the world .. 61% from SME's in the Kingdom to increase the capital spending ..and 46% of them to increase their workforce and 63% have a positive outlook for local economic growth.
For his part, said the Board Memebr Khaled Amar Al-Dosari that forum of this year will come differently from the other forums in terms of its focus on the practical side, where 7 workshops will be launched during the day, as it comes in partnership with Naseba Group, in which reflects the Chamber trend in communication and cooperation with all governmental and non-governmental organizations, to serve the national economy, society and the nation in general.
In this regard said Acting Secretary General of the Chamber Abdulrahman bin Abdullah Al Wabel who emphasized that the forum which is being held for the fourth time will discuss the topic (Funding ..challenges and solutions) as one of the main obstacles faced by small and medium enterprises and seeks through to identify best economic sectors that can be invest through by supporting the SME's.
As for the Assistant Secretary General for Economic Affairs Adel Al-Serami who explained that over 80% of the chamber members are from SME's ,that’s explaines the chamber efforts in supporting of this sector.
