Presenting the Scottish experience in the fields of energy in front of Saudi businessmen
Member of the board of administration of Asharqia Chamber Ghadran bin Saeed Ghadran has stressed the keenness of Saudi companies to cooperate for the establishment of partnerships and the long term projects with their counterparts in Scotland, especially in energy related sectors.
This was during the meeting that was hosted by Asharqia Chamber on Monday May 23, 2016 included a number of businessmen in the Eastern Province with a Scottish economic delegation specialized in energy issues, explaining that the Saudi market is looking for the Scottish experience in the field of energy, considering the direction of the country to open up to many of the experiences and expertise in accordance with the Saudi vision 2030, which has started a new era in trade and investment opportunities in the Kingdom.
Ghadran said "When we talk about energy, the eastern region comes into the limelight, being the energy axis, as it is called axis of power not only in the Kingdom, but also in the entire Gulf region, as it embraces most of the oil reserves in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the industrial activities related to oil. in addition to that the eastern region is also home to the petrochemical industry in the world in the twin industrial cities of Jubail.
Ghadran has urged Scottish companies to look into the possibility of establishing products manufacturing bases in the Kingdom, in collaboration with the local partners, as the country offers an attractive package of initiatives to the foreign investors.
For his part, Chief Executive Officer in the Middle East and Africa Energy, the head of the delegation, Dr. Abdul Hadi Fawzi said that Scotland is considered a real core for the oil and gas industries, over the past 40 years, our engineering, oil, gas and construction companies have improved in one of the most powerful exporting chains in the world, especially those companies that operate on exploration under the sea surface and deep water,
At the end of the meeting, bilateral meetings were held between the Scottish delegation and businessmen and their representatives of specialized companies in oil and gas in the region.
It is worth mentioning that the Scottish delegation includes representatives of companies specialized in products and services for the oil and gas industries ranging from drilling, welding, pipes, valves, preparations, e-solutions, consultations, researches and analysis.
