Representatives of a number of Saudi pharmacies have discussed the need of organizing an annual meeting between the owners of pharmacies in which to invite a number of local and international experts to develop the performance of pharmacies in the Kingdom, and discuss the many new challenges facing this sector ..
The Chamber Board Member Mohammed Saad Al-Faraj, who chaired the meeting recently held at the Chamber headquarters explained that a number of Saudi pharmacies representatives discussed a several issues and challenges facing workers in the sector such as the high fees and examinations in the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties imposed on pharmacists in private pharmacies , also discussing the regulations of pharmacies and making proposals and submit them to the Ministry of Health, as well as discuss the work shift of private pharmacies after midnight and submit proposals to the ministry's director of pharmaceutical care ..
Pointing out that these issues had already been discussed in more than one meeting for the Saudi pharmacies owners.
Throughout the meeting;members suggested to develop a strategy and long-term plan for pharmacies by forming a committee to coordinate between the owners of private pharmacies in order to address the difficulties facing investors in this sector, and another committee for coordination between (the General Authority for Food and Drug, Ministry of Health, and the owners of private pharmacies)
Al-Faraj urged on the positive meeting held with the National Health Committee with His Excellency the Minister of Health, describing the meeting that it was positive also called for the need for cooperation with the National Health Committee in the Council of Saudi Chambers and to identify common topics and efforts for the benefit of the health sector ..
