Some investors from the Eastern Province and the Kingdom of Bahrain have stressed the importance of integration to create joint tourism projects that serve the tourist and investor in the two countries.
This came in a meeting of the Tourism Committee of East Chamber and its counterpart in the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Bahrain, that was held Monday, 14 / March / 2016 in the headquarters of the Chamber of Dammam, during which it emphasis on a number of topics of common interest.
Secretary General of the East Chamber Abdulrahman bin Abdullah Al wabel said that the meeting which was embraced by the Chamber has witnessed distinctive statements that shows the high sense of the service of tourism sector, which is known with its support in different fields if it is activated with initiatives to attract investment in the tourism sector. Al wabel praised the meetings held between officials and specialists in the Gulf, that aim at the cooperation and participation in the development of the mechanism of work and solutions suggestions to the many challenges that may arise in the way of those partnerships amid a systematic and implemented plan.
For his part, Head of the Committee Tourism of East Chamber Raed Mirbati said that the fields of cooperation between the tourism investors in the two countries are many
, and that the fields of mutual tourism are wide , most importantly the establishment of an institute or college for the tourism training, to serve the resettlement options in the tourism sector in the two countries, because tourism cannot be only by local cadres doing it, because who creates tourism are the ordinary people who have direct contact with tourists, as well as exhibitions, festivals, restaurants and so on, pointing that the eastern region may support special events related to Formula held in the Kingdom of Bahrain through accommodating in hotels in the region for their readiness to serve the public, that follows the events, but Formula cannot take place in the region.
For his part, Head of the Tourism Committee of Commerce and Industry Chamber of Bahrain Sufyan Al muayyad said that the eastern region market is very important for Bahrain,
and how we hope that Bahrain will serve tourism not only for the families and the Saudi families, but even for foreigners residents in it, as we have a large sector of the foreign residents in the Kingdom of Bahrain who want to go to Saudi Arabia, they represent clients for all tourist facilities in the eastern region.
He pointed to the importance and necessity of the joint marketing and joint investment, and to provide a scientific partnership that achieve a sincere competition between the two parties to serve both sides.
And the audience has exchanged a number of suggestions related to the issue of integration and partnership in the field of tourism, including cruises, restaurants and tourism programs for small age groups, noting that the joint projects have strong official support in the two countries.
It is worth mentioning that the Tourism Committee delegation of Commerce and Industry Chamber of Bahrain has visited a number of tourist facilities in the eastern region, notably the East Coast festival, also he made a visit to Saudi Aramco.
At the end of the visit both sides have exchanged memorial gifts.
