More than 81 billion riyals value of bilateral trade between the KSAand Germany
The Chamber Chairman Abdulrahman bin Saleh Al-otaishan stressed on the durability of the Saudi-German relations, noting that it reflected the trade relations between the two countries as German firms have proved successful in the market with high quality products that we knew about. He urged Al otaishan during his meeting on Sunday 13 July 2014 Boris Rogge, newly appointed German Ambassador to the Kingdom in the presence of the Secretary-General of the Chamber Abdul Rahman bin Abdullah Al-wabil to enhance communication between businessmen in both countries and organizing exhibitions that facilitate from countries belonging to hold trade and investment partnerships that will raise the level of trade exchanges between the two countries. And the two sides discussed ways of cooperation and reviewed the achievements made by the two countries in the economic, trade and stability. Also Al otaishan call to German businessmen to visit the East Chamber for identifying investment opportunities in the region.
Rogge said that Germany is keen to provide high quality products and the latest technologies to Saudi Arabia, particularly in the areas of solar energy. Rogge said that the Kingdom enjoyed great abundance of energy from sunlight and help to develop solar energy technology, noting that Germany has a lot to offer to the Kingdom in this area being spent great efforts to develop innovative technology in efficient use of clean energy, stressing the importance of cooperation between the United Kingdom and Germany for use in small and medium-sized enterprise development in the Kingdom and that serve this sector. He promoted the bilateral trade registered an increase in trade between the two countries in recent years. In 2013, the total two-way trade 81.2 billion, and imports from Germany 79.4 billion while exports to Germany amounted to 1.8 billion.
