The director of the media center in the Ministry of Labor
in the Eastern Region Nada Manshi said that many citizens who wish to join the
private sector are ignorant of the information that helps them to know their rights
and in some cases it is not because of the inadequacy of their qualifications
and potential but of work system.
In
a lecture organized by Asharqia Chamber, represented by the Businesswomen
Center recently in Jubail titled "The Rights and Duties of the Employer
and the Employee in the Private Sector", Manshi said that some people suffer
from problems in work that
they
may not cope with the new work environment, often leading to their leakage and
lack of adaptation to the work environment. This can be attributed to their
lack of preparedness and lack of professional behaviors that may lead them to
make wrong decisions that affect their career.
The
law requires the employer who employs ten or more workers to prepare a
regulation for the organization of work including the internal provisions of
the work, and that the employer must be aware of the rights and obligations
that the system requires to be aware of it. The
employer should announce the regulation after its adoption in a visible place
in the establishment or any means to ensure the knowledge of the employees and
sign it.
The
contract of employment shall be according to the unified model at the Ministry
of Labor website. The two parties may add other items in a manner that does not
conflict with the system. It shall be written in two copies, each of which
shall retain a copy and prepare the contract even if it is not written in
writing.
Manshi
pointed to the importance of the social aspect of the worker and its direct
impact on the worker's performance. The employer work system committed a social role towards
the worker, including savings and saving fund. The
regulator required the employer in places far from urbanization to provide the
basic needs of life in society.
The
system also requires each employer who employs more than fifty workers to train
and qualify them in accordance with their nature and the nature of their work
and improve their level in technical, administrative and professional work with
the aim of gradually bringing them into the work of non Saudis.
Regarding the calculation of the bonus, Manshi
pointed that the reward is calculated for the total years of the same salary
without distinction between the first five years and the last five, and the
full reward is calculated and then taken the total and calculated 1/3 or 2/3
depending on the type of resignation.
In
case of ending the contract or dismissal, he would be entitled to full reward whatever
the time of his service.
