Launching the first Saudi Web on Trade Organization
Asharqia Chamber Secretary-General Adnan Al Nueim has launched the first website in the Kingdom specialized on the affairs of the World Trade Organization, in line with the chamber orientations to activate the electronic services offered to the business community.
Al Nueim stressed on the importance of launching this web in the current period, especially with the emergence of the global financial crisis, as some countries began to impose trade protection policies with the objectives of the World Trade Organization, so that chamber found these developments would require to stand then, like all trade issues that have direct contact with the interests of business issues such as liberalization of the contracting sector, and commercial agencies, the dumping cases, and mechanisms to deal with them in the light of the implementation of anti-dumping.
Moreover,AlNueim referred that this website will shed light on many subjects that fall within the interest of businessmen with regard to the obligations of the Kingdom to the WTO, the most important agreements and documents on the organization and the latest developments and issues important commercial and trade terms that are important for business, also publishing the chamber versions around the Kingdom and the World Trade Organization, the most important and latest news on the issues of international trade.
He confirmed the chamber keen to communicate directly with businessmen and people interested in WTO issues is through the website: (www.chamber.org.sa / wto) offering online consulting services, through which can communicate with the Department of the World Trade Organization in the chamber to respond to specific questions for WTO affairs.
Launching such website comes as a continue of the chamber efforts to educate businessmen on the business issues of the WTO where there the chamber locates a section of the World Trade Organization on the follow-up of all new developments of the WTO, International Trade and study their impact on the Saudi economy and seeks to contribute in raising awareness of the rules and conventions of this organization through the provision of a large number of research and advisory services.
