Land transport committee forming a specialized group to follow on the project of transport city with the Municipality of the Eastern Region
During the committee meeting with with the Municipality of the Eastern Region on Tuesday
Land Transport Committee at Asharqia Chamber has formed a specialized committee to communicate with the Municipality of the Eastern Region to pursue and follow up on the project of allocating sites and areas for the shippers during their first meeting on Tuesday, February 22, 2011 at the Chamber headquarter in Dammam.
In light of this; Fahd bin Abdullah Al Shuraya; Vice Chairman of the Chamber and Chief of the land committee said during the meeting chaired by the Committee members that the committee was formed following the latest developments in this matter which has been previously raised with the Municipality to establish a special city covered with all services for shippers.
Though,Committee has formed a working group in which his task is to draft and prepare axes of meeting expected between the Committee and the Director in charge of roads security in the region ..also discussed investment opportunities in Qatar and the possibility of achieving the benefit of businessmen of both countries as well as to discuss the classification of shippers.
