Kingdom consumes one-third of its oil production and domestic demand for electricity locally
Abdul Hadi bin Mohammed Almorayh Executive Director of the national solar energy systems Said that kingdom consume almost a third of domestic oil production and domestic demand for electricity in Saudi Arabia one of the highest in the world up to 9 year ominously economic and environmental disaster if not being avoided.
He added that King Abdullah city has almost completed laying the legal, economic and organizational for alternative energy projects in cooperation and coordination with the competent governmental authorities such as the Ministry of finance, petroleum and electricity regulatory body double and King Abdulaziz City and Saudi Aramco and Saudi Electricity Company and others, everyone is waiting for the activation of this legislation which will result in the creation of a new industry in the Kingdom of direct investments exceed the 400 billion over the next 20 years, which will lead to the revitalization of the local economy and create thousands of jobs for Saudis to avoid the problem of dependence on petroleum for domestic consumption.
Attendees discussed the importance of rational use of water and electricity and building code to reduce wasteful energy consumption using a scientifically accepted methods of construction ensure a highly efficient insulation in new buildings because some studies showed that the amount of waste energy in Saudi Arabia over the 30%. Members of the Committee discussed some obstacles that limit the widespread use of solar energy and the guest mentioned some ways to avoid these obstacles, as attracting and motivating ambitious talent to study the technique and fighting arena in the market. The Chairman also noted the importance of intensifying educational campaigns to alternative energies through exhibits and symposia supported by the government. At the end of the meeting the Chairman of the Committee delivered a commemorative shield for his efforts and thanked the guest, for his contributions to the industry.
