Eastern Emana represented by the General Administration for Investment Development reviewed a number of investment opportunities in a number of governorates of the Eastern Province, most notably Jubail province, during a monthly meeting held by Asharqia Chamber of its branch in Jubail on Tuesday, April 10, 2018. The meeting witnessed a significant presence of officials, business sector and interested parties. Saadoun Al Khalidi, Board Member, opened the meeting by stressing the Chamber's keenness to hold meetings that bring together the business sector with officials in government departments, who are interested in highlighting the investment opportunities that provide development services to the governorate and contribute to the development of the performance of the business sector. Al Khalidi said that Tuesday's meeting in Jubail is an important platform for officials in the various governmental and private sectors, as it seeks to achieve a number of objectives, most notably constructive communication between these sectors and businessmen, as well as achieving a high level of partnership between the two parties.
Eng. Mansour Al Balawi, Commercial Investment Manager in the Eastern Emana, reviewed the services provided by the Emana, which are carefully monitored by the prince of the region and his deputy, and follow-up by His Excellency the Secretary of the Eastern Region. It comes within the framework of facilitating the provision of services that can benefit the business sector to support entrepreneurs and investors of both sexes, and to ensure the development of the region in partnership with the private sector, especially with regard to investment opportunities in the governorates of Dammam, Khobar, Dhahran, and Jubail. Based on its vision to be a distinct investment management at the regional level, the Emana contributes to enhancing integration and partnership with the private sector and economic stability in order to achieve balanced income with the welfare of citizens.
Nayef Al-Duwaish, Director of Al-Jubail Municipality, said that the Emana seeks to improve the mechanisms of investment management, and to provide distinguished services through planning investment programs, applying best practices to international standards, and contributing to the cultural renaissance of the Eastern Region. It is done through achieving the incentive environment and services offered to beneficiaries, unified contracts, support services, development of the region, and diversified activities.
He pointed out that the investments of the Municipality of the region lies in the availability of accurate data on investment sites, providing studies and analyzes of investment projects and feasibility studies, and working on the availability and diversity of investment projects in terms of activities and sites. He stressed that the characteristics of the best investment with the services of the Emana is a long-term investment with grant facilities in the extraction of municipal licenses and payment services, and the presentation of investment opportunities through applications and electronic platforms.
The team of the General Administration for Investment Development mentioned that the secretariat offers a number of electronic services that serve this trend, including: the purchase of the booklet, renewal and investment map and looking for opportunities.
The meeting included a presentation of the investment opportunities in Jubail, such as the fishermen village project, and opportunities in the heart of Dammam, the farmer market in Al-Khobar and some of its neighborhoods, and some business plans in Dhahran.
