Czech delegation looking to invest in health spas and recreation centers in Kingdom
Adelegation from the Czech Republic visited Asharqia Chamber on Wednesday, 16/02/2011.In respect to tourism and health care...Delegation was headed by His Excellency Czech Ambassador in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
In response of this; Acting Secretary General of Asharqia Chamber Abdulrahman bin Abdullah Al Wabel urged the trade delegation from Czech Republic to invest in building health spas in the Kingdom, during his meeting with them on Wednesday, February 16, 2010 in the presence of a number of businessmen.
Al Wabel added that the Kingdom in general and the Eastern region specially is a suitable place for investment in tourism and recreation facilities for hospitalization and convalescence and physical therapy has become an attractive tourist destination not only in Saudi Arabia, but also in the GCC.
For his part, said the Czech ambassador in the Kingdom Dr. Lubomir Hliedk that he expects more investment in the tourism recovery and convalescence centers where there a current investment based in Riyadh which is expected that will be a similar one in Jeddah, and other places in the Kingdom.
The Czech ambassador explained that there is a strong cooperation between the two countries in the health sector by more than 250 doctors and nurses from Czech nationality in the various hospitals and health clinics in the Kingdom. A further cooperation is expected in the health sector after the recent signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministries of Health in both countries.
Hliedk referred that his country had become an important destination for health tourism for Saudi nationals, with a number of visits more than 9000 Saudis last year, which represents an increase of 35% in the number of Saudi tourists.
Both parties expressed their hope to increase the joint trade relation in the future.
