Contractors meeting with Labor Office managers looking for solutions of visas issuance ,sponsorship transfers, changing professions and manpower escape
Organized by Asharqia Chamber yesterday & attended by major officials of the region
The contractors meeting with managers of the Labor office organized by the chamber yesterday Sunday, 6th March , 2011 discussed several solutions on the procedures and regulations related to the sector as well as challenges facing the Saudi contractor in the relevant authorities comes the most prominent the visa issuance and manpower escape.
Meeting runned by the Chamber Board's Member and Chief of the Contracting Committee Saleh bin Abdullah Al-Sayed and attended by several members of the committees and businessmen ,headed by the Vice President of the Chamber Fahd bin Abdullah Al-Shuraya and Deputy Director of Dammam Labor Office Omar Al-Amri, Director of Khobar Labor Office Mufreh Al-Qahtani,Director of Ras Tanura's Labor Office Ahmad Al-Qanaa,Jubail Labor Office Director Mohammad Al-Khaldi, Buqayq's Labor Office by Ibrahim Al-Zamil and the Manpower Managing Director Hamad Al-Sqoor along with some representatives of the Chamber Committees.
Furthermore; The meeting discussed several topics with value to the sector the most important applying Saudization by 5%, and facilitate the procedure of changing some professions and the transfer of sponsorship of foreign workers and visas issuance for small enterprises and requiring all companies which the government owns with 5 % of this visas.
Meeting also suggested some solutions to reduce the occurrence of manpower escape by money transfers from Saudi banks related to those workers in a way that ensure the worker presence to his sponsor ;this move will contribute in reducing stealing by issuing awareness and educational campaigns in various languages and linking computers to the Labor Office, passports and foreign affairs and compensate the owner with alternatives visas alternative free of charge.
At the end of meeting; participants were honored with commemorative plaques handed by the Board Member Saleh Al-Sayed ..
