Emergency consultant and disasters medication Dr. Tarek
Hamdan on the need to train workers on evacuation during fires and first aid,
noting that health training and safety procedures level are often low in
women's salons.
Al Hamdan said during a lecture organized by the Eastern Chamber main
headquarters recently called "professional awareness for workers in
women's salons sector" that the instructions and safety requirements
emphasize the purchase of materials used in salons services and the need to
provide them from trusted sources and ports and approved and avoiding the
temptations of unknown suppliers, stressing the danger of these
substances if they are not disclosed and safety stated and of the concerned
authorities. And the lecturer discussed the prevention and rescue ways in fire
situations and first aid for wounds and electric shocks, the correct way to use
the chemicals, and the importance of the presence of the evacuation and
training workers and making sure that there are opened emergency exits during
the salon work with ease of access while there is any danger, in addition to
the windows and fans to avoid inhaling the smoke resulting from the use of
certain substances in hair treatment, and the need for sterilization and not
using the same tools to same clients, and to provide appropriate training for
workers when having to perform first aid in cases of fainting or suffocation,
and the importance of ensuring the safety of electrical installations in the
salons.
Worth mentioning is that The lecture is one of the Committee of Women's
salons activities which is keen to serve and develop and follow various business
sectors and to address its challenges, and it aims to raise awareness and
culture of the participants investing in the women's saloons sector, in
addition to raising the level of awareness among workers in dealing with
emergency cases that might face salon owners saloons as a result of
the use of certain tools or materials
