Committee on Housing and Urban
Development of Asharqia Chamber
approved its work plan for the current year 2016, during a recent meeting
of its members at the main headquarters of the Chamber in Dammam.
The Committee has reviewed during its
third meeting, which was chaired by Committee Chairman Redn bin Saafaq Al
Duweish the most prominent outcome of the work of the work teams emerging from
the Committee of developments in the work plan assigned to it .
Duweish stressed that the Committee through its distinctive working teams is
seeking to service all real estate developers and companies in the region by
addressing all the trends that interfere with its urban development
works.
Duweish said that the head of the development team and real estate finance in
the Committee Ahmad Al Humaidan talked about the most important problems the
developers facing that holdback their work, and he suggested the establishment
of a special office to serve the developers in East Secretariat, that date of
presenting the proposal to the Mayor of the region has been determine, as the
Head of Supporting Team within the Committee Abdullah Al Sheikh, has explained
the most prominent obstacles to supportive services for constructional
developers such as estimation problems and real estate brokerage and
facilities management, and he suggested coordinating a meeting with the
specialist authorities to view the latest projects systems, including the
enterprise Committee that is going to be established. After that, Ali Mohsen
has reviewed the steps performed by the team during the last period, and
mentioned that it has reached an agreement with a specialized global
research center in the preparation of real estate periodic reports for the
eastern region, and then the head of the initiatives team Ibrahim
Al Majdouie presented the most important of what the team has reached
during the last period, as they discussed three initiatives, including a
monthly meeting to discuss the most important issues in the housing sector, a
forum and an exhibition that gathers structural developers.
The Committee also discussed the details of holding an expanded meeting with structural
developers in the region as well as the cooperation with universities and
experience houses to support the housing sector.
