Kelly: Better payments and communication are the keys for employee development
Peter Kelly, Deputy Executive Director of Human Resources in Abu Dhabi National Bank has opened the second day activities of (First forum of Working Environment ... Towards Better Working Environment), which organized by the Eastern Chamber in cooperation with Team One d under the sponsorship of His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bin Fahad at the Chamber headquarters in Dammam.
Kelly stressed during the opening session on Wednesday, May 26th, 2010 in the working paper submitted by him titled (balance between human resources strategy and job satisfaction) on the need for a special communication phase for the strategic plan for any facility, stressing that it allows managers to communicate with their employees on so that they know what events and activities to be provided by them and meet their needs.
As explained in the session by Abdulrahman Al-Nashmi, Human Resources General Manager at NADEC that job satisfaction will only be achieved by connecting departments managers with by providing services and involvement in the company important decisions, adding that leaders must touch the needs and desires of their employees to achieve the career satisfaction which will reflect positively on their performance and will serve the facility objectives.
As for Human Resource Managers role ; Kelly explained its large role as a link between the employee and senior management as well as the task of listening to them and approaching them more and try to enlist them in planning of events and activities.
Kelly mentioned the most important elements to achieve job satisfaction is to the better communicate with staff and the better payment, explaining that there are companies with special procedures in with their employees who worked late until night to attain job satisfaction that leads to the ideal working environment and distinguishing it from other companies.
And on the performance monitoring and its role on improving the performance of the staff member Kelly's said that job satisfaction stems from the performance monitoring it as it should have a solutions for each problem and this will only come by learning and self development.
