In collaboration with the Ministry of Communications and
Informations Technology
Asharqia Chamber, in cooperation with the Ministry of
Communications and Technology Information, organizes a workshop about the
spread of culture and digital knowledge of e-commerce, embraced in the
main headquarters in Dammam.
The head of the Communications and Informations Technology and the member
of the board of Asharqia Chamber of Commerce, Ibrahim Al Sheikh explained that
the workshop which is going to be held from 1 to 3 May aims to raise awareness
of e-commerce and showing the extent of its spread in many countries of the
world, as well as raising awareness of the importance of informations
technology and how to fill the digital gap, and then the quick shift to a community
of Knowledge.
The workshop also discusses the importance of confidence in electronic payment
network and the transition from regular trade methods to electronic based
services to meet the needs of the consumer according to the advantages he
demands at any time 24 hours.
Al Sheikh said that the workshop comes within the framework of mutual
cooperation with the Ministry of Communications and Informations Technology and
within the efforts of the Committee on Communications and Informations
Technology of Asharqia Chamber, in order to increase cultural awareness and
promote a culture of entrepreneurship in the community by introducing the
e-commerce, and the statement of its axes and its items and benefits,
pointing to the basic axes that the workshop will rely on such as marketing
mail and the consequent economic and social impact as it is the latest way in
the work industry marketing, getting expanded between companies in the region,
due to what it achieved as a quantum leap in attracting customers process, and
motivating the companies earnings and enhancing their profits.
Al Sheikh stressed that the kingdom is witnessing a remarkable development in
the field of e-commerce, which requires developing technical and commercial
capacities in the field of e-commerce, so the workshop aims at professionals in
the electronic market and the interested ones in e-commerce sector.
He pointed that e-commerce allows businesses and individuals to buy more widely
by providing multiple choices weather the markets or the individuals, stressing
that e-commerce has a positive impact on the Saudi economy, particularly in
terms of its developmental abilities, and also the investment in e-commerce
gives the informations technology companies experience and
distinction at the local level.
