On Wednesday, 27 February 2019, Asharqia Chamber in cooperation with the Saudi Food and Drug Authority will organize a workshop entitled, "Calorie Calculation Mechanism for the Food Sector" at the Chamber Branch in Qatif Governorate at 10 am.
The workshop will discuss the importance of presenting the calories to the customers of the food sector, such as restaurants and cafes in a clear way, where they should be presented in front of each item in the list of food and drinks provided to the customers, and to be placed on all types of menus offered permanently, whatever the mechanism of supply.
The workshop also discusses the calculation of calories by displaying the contents of the dish with the need to clarify calories for each dish if the food is presented in the form of individual units divided by taking into account the advertisement of calories separately for all side orders in the menu, such as desserts and food.
