Asharqia Chamber Launches «Eastern Economic Forum» November
Ashsrqia Chamber is preparing to launch the economic event
of the year in the region, the Eastern Economic Forum, on Wednesday and
Thursday 8 and 9 November under the patronage of HRH Prince Saud bin
Nayef bin Abdul Aziz. »Prince of the Eastern Region, and has the participation of a group of

economic affairs.
The
Chairman of the Board of Directors of Alsharqia Chamber, Abdulrahman
bin Saleh Al Ataishan said that holding a forum of this size comes from
the Chamber keenness to keep abreast of the developments and economic
changes taking place in the country and its implications for the Saudi
private sector as a key partner in the development process. The
vision of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia 2030 - the day of the largest
transformation in the Kingdom economy by declaring its transition from
dependence on oil as the sole source of national income to
diversification of the economic base and benefiting from all the
strengths of the Kingdom, whether natural wealth, strategic location or
resources Human beings.
"The most important feature of the Eastern Economic Forum is the
inclusion in the topics and the collective dialogue, which is adopted on
the various challenges and roles that the business sector can play in
realizing the Kingdom's vision for tomorrow," said Al-Otishan.
He
pointed that the forum aims to motivate the business sector to
achieve the vision of 2030 and contribute to the creation of effective
channels of communication between the public and private sectors in
order to achieve a constructive economic balance, enhance business
partnership to promote the national economy, and put the Kingdom on a
sustainable path of economic growth. Highlighted the economic importance and comparative advantages of the Eastern Region in the Kingdom economy.
"The
forum emphasizes the importance of local content programs to increase
the contribution of the business sector in the national economy, as well
as enhancing the prospects of the institutional structure of the small
and medium in the country and contribute to providing an
attractive investment environment both domestic and foreign. The participation of a group of ministers, specialists and those
interested in economic affairs in all fields in order to shed light on
the policies and plans aimed at achieving diversification of the
economic base of the Kingdom and ways of facing the challenges facing
the business sector.
Al Atishan explained that the forum's activities will be characterized by
diversity and transparency in order to achieve a broad dialogue on the
various topics related to the roles that the private sector can play in
the national economy, including, an example not only - discussing
procedures to improve the business environment, the national strategy of
the industrial sector, The
role of the private sector in government procurement, especially the
role of the contracting sector in mega government projects, as well as
discussing the role of industry in leading diversity to achieve economic
transformation, as well as the facilities provided to the business
sector in the context of future directions to liberalize prices. Energy
products, future vision of Emiratisation policies, and other topics
that will enhance the participation of the private sector in government
decision making.
