On Tuesday 5 December 2018, Asharqia Chamber held the Annual Reception of Asharqia Chamber under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Saud Bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Eastern Region, with the participation of a dense businessmen from various sectors, representatives of major corporations and some social institutions, local media correspondents, as well as representatives of official governmental institutions from different cities and governorates of the Eastern Region.
The ceremony was held at the Grand Ballroom of the Sheraton Hotel in Dammam.
During the ceremony, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Asharqia Chamber in the previous session (17) / Abdulrahman bin Saleh Al-Otishan, the two Vice-Presidents of the Council / Hassan bin Mesfer al-Zahrani, and Mohammed bin Saad Al-Faraj, and all members of the Board including Abdul Hakim bin Hamad Al-Ammar Al-Khalidi (current Chairman of the Board), Ibrahim ibn Muhammad al-Sheikh, Bandar bin Rafi al-Jabri and Najib bin Abdullah al-Sehati. (Members of the Governing Council at the current session), and Rashid bin Abdullah al-Rashid, Abdul Aziz bin Mohammed al-Othman, Abdulmohsen bin Abdulmajeed al-Faraj, Ghadran bin Said Ghadran, Fahd bin Abdulrahman al-Thunayan, Faisal bin Saleh al-Quraishi, Faisal bin Abdullah Fouad Bubshait, Mohammed bin Yusuf AlDosari, Nayef bin Thalab al-Qahtani, were honored.
The Chairman of the Board of Directors of Asharqia Chamber, Abdul Hakim bin Hamad Al-Ammar Al-Khalidi, said that the ceremony was distinguished by the level and size of attendance, the patronage and honor of the Amir of the Eastern Region, and honoring the members of the Board of Directors of Asharqia Chamber in the 17th session, as well as the delightful interaction of all.
This ceremony and this excellence emphasize the keenness of the leaders of the country to take care of and follow up the activities of the private sector, and the activities of Asharqia Chamber in particular on the one hand, and the businessmen interacted with their chambers in such events and public activities on the other hand.
He added, "All this puts us in front of a great responsibility that we hope will be carried out to the fullest and be at the satisfaction of the leaders of our beloved country, and the aspirations of the private sector."
Accordingly, Al-Khalidi paid tribute to His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Eastern Region, for his support, patronage and interest in this event and in all the activities of Asharqia Chamber, which reflects his keen interest in private sector activities that to assure the keenness of our government officials to support this sector, as the sector is dynamic in its performance and a desire to achieve more creativity and achievements in response to the national transformation program and the vision of the Kingdom 2030.
Al Khalidi said that the annual ceremony that Asharqia Chamber has been holding each year at this time means a lot to us as an executive board and management. In fact, it is an opportunity to deepen communication between businessmen with each other and with the various governmental and private bodies, which reflects on the economic and social situation in the Eastern region and in the Kingdom in general.
On the honor of the members of the Board of Directors of Asharqia Chamber (in the previous session), AlKhalidi said that this honor is a touch of loyalty from the Chamber for those men who contributed to serving their home first then serving the business through the Chamber, and contributed in its activities, as they were companions of successes in achieving social responsibility.
He added, "They have all the thanks, appreciation and respect, and we promise them that we are on the way and are determined to continue to achieve more success."
For his part, Secretary General of Asharqia Chamber, Abdulrahman bin Abdullah Al-Wabil, said that the success of the annual reception that underscores the vitality and importance of the activities, events and programs carried out by Asharqia Chamber, and clearly reveals the interaction of businessmen and representatives of governmental and private bodies with these events, and this adds another success, and carries an additional responsibility.
AlWabel praised the great efforts made by the Board members at the previous session (who were honored at the ceremony).
He stressed the Chamber's success story that began and will not stop, as this ceremony came to confirm the continuation of the march of achievement, and the will to search for the best because we followed the slogan "Let's work together for a better tomorrow."
