Asharqia Chamber discusses aspects of cooperation with "MODON"
The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Asharqia Chamber, Thursday, July 13, 2023, met with the CEO of the Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones “MODON”, Eng. Majed bin Rafid Al-Arqoubi, where they discussed aspects of cooperation between the Chamber and MODON.
The meeting reviewed the recent plans adopted by MODON to support the option of industrial development and the continued advancement of the industrial sector in line with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, and raising the level of performance in the sector. It also reviewed several promising investment opportunities for local and foreign investors, as well as the continuous developments witnessed by the industrial sector represented in the Saudi industrial cities. The number of 36 industrial cities and the increase in the number of factories to more than 6 thousand factories.
For his part, Al-Arqoubi said that MODON strives to provide the appropriate environment to serve industrialists, including industrial products, support logistical services, and financing solutions, through 36 industrial cities across the Kingdom, to attract local and foreign investments, and for MODON to be the preferred destination for investors.
Al-Arqoubi added that MODON provides all the requirements to encourage entrepreneurs and encourage them to enter the world of industry, from the idea stage to production to export, and to strengthen the Kingdom's position industrially and economically.
The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Asharqia Chamber said that the meeting was more than positive, during which the picture of the situation in the industrial sector was seen, which is witnessing qualitative shifts, that cause pride and pride, confirming the reality and importance of the industrial sector in development, as a leading sector for other economic activities and events.
Al-Ruzaiza added that this meeting confirms the interest of the Industrial Cities and Technology Zones Authority (MODON) to stand up to the aspirations of industrialists and listen to their views and observations, which makes us express optimism about a brighter reality.
He pointed out that the industrial sector at present is in its best condition, and we can say that it is now reaping the fruits of what was cultivated in the past years and decades, as it was a fertile period during which strong infrastructures for a promising industrial sector were established, and what we are witnessing today is the introduction of modern technologies, including intelligence. artificial in the world of production and industry.
Al-Ruzaiza hinted that the investment environment at present seems more stimulating for more industrial projects, because the investment system and the general atmosphere are very stimulating, in light of the permanent government support for projects, investor encouragement for new ideas, and permanent monitoring of adherence to high-quality specifications in various stages of industrial production. This resulted in the distinction of the Saudi product in the global markets, which is in line with the official solid orientation to open internal investment horizons and go to new global markets.
