The Asharqia Chamber has urged its members to review the security updates for software and private networks on monthly and periodically basis, so as not to be the subject to malpractice and fraud. People from various African nationalities are making fraud through penetrating the e-mail addresses and opening bank accounts with forged passports.
The Chamber circulated the warning based on the dissemination of information from the Council of Saudi Chambers following the advice from the Ministry of Interior which received information from the International Police (Interpol) stating the exposure of some companies in one of the Asian countries trying to penetrate the email addresses. They are able to identify commercial transactions between companies and open accounts with forged passports. The statement described this method of fraud as "dangerous" because of the possibility of Saudi companies to fall prey to this fraud.
