Abd-ur-Rahman ibn Raashid Al-Raashid, the Chairman of Asharqia Chamber Board of Directors, revealed the re-naming of An-Nakheel Hall located in the main lobby of the Chamber after Sheikh Hamad ibn Ahmed Al-Qusaibi. The ceremony was attended by Yusuf Al-Qusaibi the President of Al-Qusaibi Group, Saud Al-Qusaibi, Vice President of Al-Qusaibi Group, a number of Al-Qusaibi family members, Adminitrative Board members, Adnan ibn Abdullah An-Naeem, the General Manager of Asharqia Chamber, and a large number of local businessmen.
All of those present honored the executive members of Asharqia Chamber for leading the Chamber to win four awards in recent years. During the monthly meeting, Al-Raashid delivered a speech in which he honored all of the executive staff members and mentioned the significance of re-naming Al-Nakheel Hall after Sheikh Hamad Al-Qusaibi for his leadership in the founding of the Chamber. "Sheikh Hamad Al-Qusaibi – May Allah have mercy on him – was the main advisor to Prince Saud ibn Jalwy, the Governor of the Eastern Province at that time, for building a chamber of commerce and industry in the Eastern Province. His Highness wrote to him about this matter and the matter was agreed to in the year 1372H. Asharqia Chamber was the third Chamber established in the Kingdom after the Chambers in Jeddah and Mecca.
Al-Raashid also praised the role of Sheikh Al-Qusaibi in formulating the bylaws for the organization of the Chamber and stated that it is one of the most important steps in founding any organization. "And he paid for the slaries of all of the employees and operating costs of the Chamber from his personal wealth for the first two months after the opening of the Chamber." For this he is considered an example for all founders to follow and a leading economist in the Eastern Region. "He is amongst those whose contributions can never be forgotten since he was the first Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Chamber from 1382H-1384H. There can be no doubt that todays success of the Chamber is the result of the hard work of Sheikh Hamad Al-Qusaibi and his companions. And his sons are now following in their father's distinguished footsteps."
Al-Raashid honored the executive staff members of Asharqia Chamber for their outstanding work and their participation in several important accomplishments including: four important awards given to the Chamber. Within the last four months the Chamber received an award for "The Best Working Environment in the Kingdom". Two months ago the Chamber was named third in the Middle East for Customer Service by the Middle Eastern Awards Institute. Last year the Chamber won the most important award in the Kingdom in the field of "Saudiization" which is the Prince Naif ibn Abdul-Aziz Award. Next, the Chamber was awarded the Prince Muhammaed ibn Fahd ibn Abdul-Aziz Award for Land Development which is the most important awards in the field of development in the Eastern Region and one of the most important awards in that field in the Kingdom.
Al-Raashid said during his speech that the executive staff members have done outstanding hard work in accomplishing the aims of the Board of Directors in terms of expanding the services offered by the Chamber in addition to accomplishing the other ever increasing goals and strategies of the Chamber. He said they deserve a "thank you" from the Chamber adding that this encouragement for the executive staff members is a message to all of the employees of the Chamber to keep up the good work.
The Assistant Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Chamber, Saud Al-Qusaibi, said that he and the Al-Qusaibi family are not surprised at he accomplishments of the employees of the Chamber after the role of the late Sheikh Hamad Al-Qusaibi in the founding of the Chamber and the participation of the Al-Qusaibi family in the business community in the Eastern region.
Afterwards, the General Manager of the Chamber, Adnan Al-Naeem, thanked the Chairman of the Board of Directors and the members of the Board for their unlimitted support for the executive staff members that enabled him to accept so many awards on behalf of the Chamber. An-Naeem also thanked all of the employees of the Chamber saying that without their support we could not have reached where we are now. He also thanked all of the employees for all of the accomplishments that the Chamber can now take credit for and stressed that deserving these awards has increased the responsibility of the Chamber to preserve their accomplishments and achieve even more.
Next, Abd-ur-Rahman ibn Raashid Al-Raashid, the Chairman of Asharqia Chamber Board of Directors, awarded commemorative plaques to Adnan An-Naeem, the General Manager of the Chamber, Abdul-Wahhab Al-Ansari, the Assistant General Manager for Public Relations, Abdullah Al-Qahtaani the Assistant General Manager for Economic Affairs, Abdur-Rahman Al-Humain, the Assistant General Manager for Committee Affairs, Abdur-Rahman Al-Waabil, the Assistant General Manager for Associate Services , and Sami Abu Saraih, the Assistant General Manager for Management Affairs.
