East Chamber.. Historical initiatives in the service of the nation
The achievements come on the way
Annual reception 2013does not come as a confirmation of the opening up of the Eastern Chamber with the eastern region community of all social groups and classes, but the embodiment of the role in the community service, promote development through long years since its inception. The Chamber has taken strides at various levels, from the care of their members ' interests, and continuing interest in the development of its services to its customers, to its contribution to the development of the economies of the region, and its excellence in the service economy, to absorb the latest technologies in private sector services, environment and interests of men and women, with the Chamber, several developments and expansions, making it high among the local chambers of Commerce and industry and the Gulf and Arab world.
Expanded ' the Chamber ' and spread to different provinces of the eastern region, serving business throughout the region, particularly through its branches in Jubail and Al Khobar, Dammam, Qatif and Al Khafji, and many special services. The Chamber also saw many aspects of evolution, for example: establishment of Centre for development of small and medium enterprises (SMEs), the training centre, the investment centre, job centre, Centre for women in business, and other services and centers reflecting the Chamber' directions ' and interest in serving the country and the region.
The Chamber since it was founded in 1372 h (1952) until 1434, has achieved many accomplishments, at various levels. Therefore, the cooperation between the Board of Directors, and the executive members , and sectors, departments and divisions, and Centers ' quality ', and made great strides in serving its customers from the business and develop the economies of the eastern region, and maximize the performance of the national economy.
And this ' tags ': many initiatives and actions to improve the performance of the Chamber in the service of its customers of the business, and improve the performance of the private sector in the East in General, including: establishment of the Centre for the development of small and medium enterprises that important responsibilities in the development of small and medium enterprises. As well as creating specialized centers that performs tasks in service economics area and the national economy in General, including: Career Center, training center, which played important roles in the cause of resettlement and rehabilitation of human resources in the eastern region.
Launching the award installation promising to encourage SMEs to adopt the ideas of creativity and innovation, and urged owners to develop and adopt unconventional methods in management and production, in addition to interest in resettlement and saudization. The award was amended to be Dr. Ghazi Algosaibi Award for best promising. The beat Chamber for the most important national award ' localization ': Prince Nayef bin Abdul Aziz to saudisation. Distinguished awards won by the East Chamber in recent years, developments in the ' quality ' and ' quantity ' in size of membership and special service centers and opening branches in the eastern provinces. The total number of subscribers of business people in 2013 was about 52 thousand subscribers. The evolution of size and accelerated during this period: 40, 7 thousand subscribers 2009, 38.4 thousand subscriber 2008 19.3 thousand subscriber 2004, as for the number of branches, 15 centers.
The Chamber has several awards and certificates of excellence and high value, each in its field, including: certificate of international quality management systems (ISO 9001 version 2008) and information safety management systems (ISO 27001 2005 version). Convergent Chamber of Chambers of Commerce and industry certified information security management systems in the Middle East, and are not applied until now, except in a very limited number of rooms.
The Chamber won Middle East Award for excellence in customer service, organized by the Institute of the Middle East Award for ' Datamatix ' in Dubai, U.A.E., and the State is a ' qualitative ' level awards.
The Chamber came in fifth place in the award ' best work environment ' within the (SMEs) in 2009 and 2010. The East Chamber is the most prominent Saudi Chambers contribution to volunteering in the Kingdom, most promotes the principle of community participation, which has long embraced the creation of the first Committee on behalf of the friends of the sick ', evolved form to ' manage ', under the name of ' social responsibility ', Center for the implementation of the orientations of the Chamber and its performance in this area.
