The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Asharqia Chamber, Badr bin Suleiman Al-Rizaiza, stressed that the increasing involvement of Saudi women year after year in trade and economic activities, in addition to providing tangible evidence of their successes and progress, also makes them an important bet in the national economy's journey towards sustainability, noting that the strategic plan launched by the Asharqia Chamber, represented by its Center for Women's Empowerment, includes providing new and innovative programs and initiatives that will support women's needs in light of the current economic phase. This came within the framework of the Asharqia Chamber's continued preparations to launch the Women's Economic Forum, under the title (Empowering Effective Leadership), on Tuesday and Wednesday (November 19-20), which comes under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, Prince of the Eastern Province, at the Chamber's main headquarters. Al-Rizaiza said that the Asharqia Chamber's organization of the Women's Economic Forum came with the aim of enhancing the leadership role of women in the national economy, and pointed to the urgent need to intensify such forums and conferences related to the economic role of women, which has been constantly increasing; These forums review the steps and needs of women towards effective participation in the national economy, and they also serve as a major communication platform that increases awareness and introduces similar experiences, regarding the most important challenges that they may encounter, by shedding light on how to deal with these challenges at the hands of experts, specialists and women with previous experiences.
Al-Rizaiza pointed to the intensive and continuous preparations by the work team responsible for the forum, to receive and confirm the participation requests from specialists and those interested in women's economic affairs, noting the increase in the number of participants in this year's forum.
He explained that the forum focuses on the basic aspects of empowering effective leadership and the reality and future of women in the national economy, and on the methods through which women's efficiency can be developed at the professional level, and pointed out that the forum is a serious opportunity to benefit from the experiences of business owners in the field of choosing ways of freelance work and entrepreneurship, noting that the Chamber always provides support and advice through its various channels to raise the level of women in terms of business management, by urging them to find mechanisms for development and modernization in the field of production and creativity.
