The Environment and Food Committee
of Asharqia Chamber selected Talal bin Sultan Al-Rasheed as its Chairman and
Mohammed bin Nasser Al-Daiel as a Vice President at the first meeting of the
Committee at the current session of the Board of Directors that was held on
Tuesday, 08 May 2018.
During the secret vote on the
presidency, Talal al-Rasheed received 15 votes, Mohammed al-Daiel got 9 votes,
and Mohammed Abudabil got two votes. While the vote on the vice-presidential
position resulted in Mohammed al-Daiel in getting 20 votes, and Haitham
Algosaibi in receiving 6 votes. The members of the National Agricultural
Committee were elected and a working group was set up to develop the Committee's
work plan for 2018.
The Chamber's Chairman, Bader bin
Sulaiman Al-Rizaiza, opened the first meeting of the Committee. He stressed the
keenness of the Board of Directors of the Chamber to increase efficiency in the
committees sector, as the future presents challenges for the business sectors
and promising opportunities within the vision of the Kingdom 2030.
